Pastor Search Update

Dear WPC Family,

We wanted to take a moment to provide you with an important update regarding our search for a new pastor.

As many of you know, we have been diligently working through this process, prayerfully considering candidates who might be a good fit for our church. We were recently in the final stages with a candidate and were ready to move forward, but unfortunately, they decided to withdraw from the process.

While this is certainly a disappointment, we want to reassure you that we are not discouraged. This is just another step in God’s plan, and we believe He is guiding us toward the right person for this congregation. We know that God’s timing is perfect, and sometimes that means waiting longer than we expect or facing unexpected challenges.

 

As we continue our search, we want to emphasize that we will not settle. Our goal is to find a pastor who is not only capable but also called to serve this church with a heart for our community, our mission, and the people God has placed in our care. We believe that this church deserves a leader who is aligned with our vision and values—and we trust that God will provide just the right person.

In the meantime, we encourage you to remain prayerful and patient. It can be easy to grow weary in times of uncertainty, but let us remember that we are not alone. We are blessed to be part of a congregation that is filled with faithful, devoted members who care deeply for one another. In the grand scheme of things, though this moment of waiting can be hard, we also know it could always be worse. We are still a healthy, vibrant community, and God is still at work in our midst.

We would also like to thank Josie for standing strong with us throughout this process. Without her faithfulness, Williamsburg Presbyterian Church would certainly be in a bind.

Thank you for your continued prayers, support, and trust. We ask that you keep the search process in your prayers, that God would lead us to the right pastor in His perfect timing.
